Graphite mold is an important tool often used in the metal casting process for the manufacture of metal parts.
Design mold structure: First of all, design the structure of the graphite mold according to the parts that need to be produced, including the shape, size and surface details of the parts.
Choose graphite material: According to the characteristics of the required parts and production requirements to choose the appropriate graphite material, usually there are different types of graphite to choose from, such as ordinary graphite, high purity graphite and so on.
Machining mold: The use of CNC machine tools or other processing equipment to cut the selected graphite material, milling and other processing technology, and process it into the mold shape that meets the design requirements.
Assembly mold: The processed graphite mold is assembled together to ensure that the mold structure is complete and can meet the requirements of the casting process.
Pretreatment mold: Before metal casting, it is usually necessary to pretreat the graphite mold, such as applying an anti-stick coating or heat treatment, to improve the wear resistance and anti-viscosity of the mold.
Casting process: The molten metal is poured into the graphite mold, and after the metal is cooled and solidified, the mold can be removed to obtain the corresponding metal parts.
Cleaning molds: After the metal parts are cooled, the graphite molds need to be cleaned and maintained to ensure the quality and performance of the molds for the next use.
The molding method of graphite mold needs to go through multiple links such as design, selection of materials, processing, assembly, pretreatment, casting and cleaning, each link needs to be carefully operated to ensure that the final production of metal parts that meet the requirements.
